
Lean Practitioner
With an in-depth coverage of fundamental lean management concepts, our Level 1 Lean Practitioner course provides the essential knowledge and experience required for staff to contribute effectively towards lean management efforts within their organization.
The course covers all lean topics recommended for front-line staff, and serves as a foundational course for team leaders, lean program managers and company senior management.
Application examples include a wide range of industries, making the course suitable for students from both manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies.
Course Structure
The Lean Practitioner course is run over 8 weeks, with each student assigned to a trainer and a cohort of peers. Up to three hours should be allowed each week to complete a mix of self-paced study with on-demand lessons, assignments, group interaction and check-ins with the trainer to track progress, answer questions and work through live practical sessions.

Students will understand the fundamental principles of lean, and will be able to contribute to a lean program within their organization.

Certification
Students completing all topics and assignments included in this course are certified as Level 1 Lean Practitioners.
Students have the option to complete an implementation project as part of this course to have their certificate upgraded to a Shinka Management-certified Lean Management Green Belt.
